Policy for SnapHook
Your privacy matters. SnapHook was built to give you more control over your workflows, not to take control of your data.
The short version, through this extension:
- We collect nothing.
- We store nothing online.
- We track nothing.
All of your configurations remain local to your browser. The only outbound requests are the webhook calls you configure yourself.
1. Data We Don’t Collect
SnapHook does not collect, transmit, or have access to any of your personal information. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Your browsing history
- Your account credentials (Google, CRM, or otherwise)
- Your IP address
- Your email address
- Any form of analytics or usage data
There's no third-party analytics, tracking scripts, or advertising platforms scripts in the code.
2. Data Stored (Locally Only)
SnapHook stores its configuration in your browser using the standard storage.local
API. This includes:
- Regex patterns you create (to match URLs)
- The webhook endpoints you enter
- Basic settings for how SnapHook should behave
All of this data is stored locally on your device. It never leaves your browser, unless you configure a webhook that sends it elsewhere.
3. Permissions Explained
SnapHook requests a small set of permissions, all directly tied to its core function:
- storage
- Used to save your configuration (patterns, endpoints) locally on your device.
- activeTab
- Allows SnapHook to detect when the current page matches one of your configured patterns and trigger the corresponding webhook.
- host_permissions (
<all_urls>
or your chosen domains)- Needed so SnapHook can check whether the URL of the page you’re on matches your regex rules. SnapHook does not interact with pages outside of your patterns.
4. Webhooks and Third-Party Services
The only outbound requests SnapHook makes are the webhooks you configure. When a URL matches your rules, SnapHook sends a payload to the endpoint you provided (e.g., Make, n8n, Zapier, or your own server).
We do not control these endpoints. The privacy and security of those services are governed by their own policies, as well as how you configure them.
5. Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy is ever updated, changes will be noted here. Our core principle will not change: SnapHook does not collect or sell your personal data.
6. Contact
