Trigger AI workflows while browsing

Stop copy-pasting web content; Webhook Sidebar sends analysis prompts and page data directly to your automations, right from your browser. No Chats.

Ever feel like half your day is spent manually copying information from a webpage and pasting it into another tool? Tracking sales leads from emails, saving research snippets, logging customer feedback, entering data from invoices... it's tedious, error-prone, and keeps you jumping between tabs.

For some, like a medical team needing info from PHI charts to trigger follow-ups without insecure scraping or manual entry, this isn't just inefficient – it's a critical bottleneck.

That constant, friction-filled shuffle between your browser and your tools is exactly why we built Webhook Sidebar. It’s a simple Chrome extension that acts as a direct line from any webpage to your favorite automation platforms (Make, Zapier, n8n, or your own custom webhook endpoint).

Webhook Sidebar: Your Browser's Bridge to Automation

Think of it less like a simple clipper and more like a command center in your browser's sidebar. It lets you instantly send information from a webpage and, crucially, get results back without leaving the page.

Here’s How Simple It Is:

  1. Select Info (Optional): Highlight the specific text you need on the page. If you want the main content of the whole page, just don't select anything.
  2. Give Instructions: Type a quick command (your "prompt") into the sidebar – e.g., "Summarize this," "Create Asana task," "Get contact info," "Translate to German." (It remembers recent prompts!).
  3. Choose Destination: Pick the right webhook URL from your saved list (you can configure multiple for different tasks).
  4. Hit Send: Click the button.

What Happens Next (Your Automation Magic):

Instantly, the extension sends a clean JSON package to your chosen webhook URL containing:

  • prompt: Your specific instruction.
  • page_markdown: The selected text (or main page content) automatically converted to simple Markdown – way easier for tools like Make/Zapier/AI to understand than raw HTML.
  • page_url: The source URL for context.

Your backend workflow (in Make, Zapier, n8n, etc.) receives this package. Now, based on your prompt and the provided text/URL, your automation does the heavy lifting:

  • Get AI Insights Instantly: Send text to OpenAI/Gemini to summarize, extract keywords, draft replies, analyze sentiment. The result appears right back in the sidebar.
  • Populate Your Tools: Create tasks in Todoist/Asana, add leads/notes to your CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce), log research in Notion/Airtable/Sheets. Get a confirmation message back in the sidebar.
  • Translate on the Fly: Highlight text, prompt "Translate," and see the translation appear in the sidebar.
  • Look Up Data: Select a company name or email, trigger a workflow to query your internal database or an enrichment tool, and display the findings in the sidebar.
  • Kick Off Complex Processes: Trigger multi-step automations involving data validation, conditional logic, or routing to different team members, all initiated from your browser.

Why This Beats Manual Copy-Pasting:

  • Stay Focused: Analyze, act, and get results without leaving your current webpage or breaking your concentration.
  • Save Time & Reduce Errors: Eliminate manual data entry and the inevitable typos or missed information.
  • Clean, Usable Data: Your workflows receive consistent, easy-to-parse Markdown text, not messy HTML.
  • Incredibly Flexible: Connects to virtually any tool that can receive a webhook. You build the exact logic you need using your preferred no-code/low-code platform.
  • See Results Immediately: The sidebar feedback loop provides instant summaries, translations, confirmations, or data lookups.
  • Privacy-Focused: The extension sends data only to the webhook endpoints you configure. No other tracking or data sharing.

Stop letting valuable web data get stuck behind tedious manual processes. Give Webhook Sidebar a try and connect your browser directly to the power and efficiency of your automations.
